Rents a small apartment on the beach with a college roommate
Helps at the local gym where he teaches swimming
Plans to marry and have a family someday
One day Adam's landlord, John Watkins, called with an investment opportunity. He explained that he was selling the apartment complex where Adam lived. However, Adam didn't necessarily have to move: the new owner was converting the apartments to condos, and offering them to current tenants at 25% below market price. "That's a great deal, Adam!" said Watkins. Adam hung up the phone feeling excited. "Wouldn't that be great!" he said to his roommate Barry. "I love living near the beach, and I'm sick of throwing money at rent. And I could make money someday by renting it out myself". "Yeah, but Adam," said Barry, "how are you going to pay for it?"
